Spirit of the orchid wrap

Design by Tatsiana Kupryianchyk @ LillaBjornCrochet.com I had seen these kits at Black Sheep Wools previously, and even when in the sale hadn’t bought it, thinking “I’m not really a wrap type person”. However my addiction to crochet beat that.. I can’t remember why I was at Black Sheep AGAIN (I probably had an idea …

Carousel blanket

Started mid November, finished end of Jan 2019. My husband picked this one, out of a selection of blanket patterns I liked. He liked the vibrant colours. I liked the look of this, but it wasn’t the most fun to do, as it was a bit TOO repetitive. However, it looked great when finished. First …

Lymm Festival – Under the Sea 2018

I contributed some crocheted items to be put up around the village, and some embroidery for the under the sea picture. I bought the embroidery designs. The seahorse was a nightmare to stitch out. It is very thick in places and was either getting stuck, or ripping the soluble stabiliser. Cute though – yes?

First Crocheted Blankets (2014/15)

I decided that next progress would be to crochet small things that could be put together to make something more significant. I picked a nice grey and blue wool. I remembered making a hexagon patchwork cushion as a child, so decided a hexagon would be a good plan. I found a hexagonal granny square (!) …

Crochet in the beginning

Mums and YouTube are the best!!! I saw what my Mum was making and thought they were so cute I really had to try and learn to crochet. She was using a YouTube video to teach herself how to do it, so I did the same. I had never got to grips with how I …
